| This large and modern park situated near the Sydney Olympic Park covers 100 hectare heritage land and hosts an important wetland ecosystem and bird refuge (no access for visitors to the refuge). The park has shelters and electric barbeque facilities, interactive water fountains and several lookout towers with cool views on the Olympic Site, the City and the park itself. Areas for play and relaxation, bicycle paths, lakes with swans and pelicans complete the picture. |

From the map, it looks like just of the ordinary playgrounds for family and children. But when I arrived in the park, walked around, and observed what it has in it, I started to regret why I did not go there eariler. Now, it has become my favorest weekend going for my family, and of course myself.

DEAR JUDY HARRINGTON,
I HAD BEEN TO THE PARK DURING 1997-98 WHERE
I WAS WORKING FOR A MONTH WITH YOU AND YOUR RANGER IN SAMPLING AT THE BELVADERE LAKE AND ALSO I HAD BEEN TO AN EXHIBITION
I WANT TO KNOW THE TREATMENT YOU DID WITH THE LAKE IN IMPROVING THE DISSOLVED OXYGEN WHERE LOT OF FISHES WERE DEAD DURING THAT PERIOD. What is the situation now? I think it was Charlie of STI, SYDNEY who was testing the quality of the lake.
I am Suresh working in India as Research Associate, in the Dept. of Environmental Engineering, SJCE, MYSORE, INDIA
